My Musings: Photos From My Neighborhood
It was such a beautiful day last week [May 9th] that I had to take some pictures of the neighborhood. All photos were taken with my iPhone 4S and [minor] edits were made with Aperture.
Enjoy!

How scrumptious is this Chloé ‘Paraty Military’ Satchel in mimosa?! It’s like having your own personal ball of sunshine at your side… At $2,300 it better keep you warm!
I get on a kick where I get hooked on a song and keep it on repeat NONSTOP until I’m over it and then on to the next one (which is often). Well, yesterday while sitting in my car eating lunch in the parking lot (yeah, I’m a loner and don’t feel the need to socialize at lunch), I heard this particular song. I may be a tad bit late, but I heard it nonetheless!
You see; I fall for a song more for the beats, harmonies and melodies than for the lyrical content. I can listen to a song all day every day for a year and STILL not know the words, but I can tell you all about the instruments (if some are actually used), modulation and beat changes… That’s just me! Now granted, the words to this song are most definitely degrading [towards women] and reeks of the stereotypical “get the girl and bang her until she can’t take anymore”, but the track is H.O.T.!
Anyway, take a listen for yourself and try not to bob your head and roll your neck too hard. The song is “Naked” by Kevin McCall featuring Big Sean… Enjoy!
Note: Maybe it’s just me, but this song reminds me of Backstreet Boys “The Call” (Neptunes Remix)… IJS!
Alright, I was TOO excited when I was on eBay a few years ago and ran across an actual McDonald’s play set just like the one I had when I was a little girl growing up in Detroit. This got me to thinking about ALL of my favorite toys and wondering if I could find pictures of them on the Internet. Well lo and behold… I did!
The following gallery allows me to take a glimpse back into my childhood and recount all of the endless hours I spent imagining story lines for each of my dolls. Life was so simple and carefree back then. If I could turn back the hands of time if only for a moment…
What were some of your favorite toys? Are any of them in the gallery below?
